Delivery Manager

Job Purpose

The delivery manager acts as a hybrid role covering key business analysis and project management activities required to drive project execution from initiation through the project lifecycle to completion.

Key accountabilities

  • Gather business requirements through workshops and engagement with SMEs. 
  • Support the Product Owner to define key project objectives and plan execution by breaking these down into sprint deliveries.
  • Detail out relevant dependencies and downstream impacts relevant to the project’s successful delivery.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues with the Product Owner and Programme Director.
  • Provide alignment with the bank’s change governance framework.
  • Coordinate with delivery teams on a day-to-day basis to drive project execution and unblock issues.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and provide inputs into management reporting.
  • Facilitate E2E delivery of projects by taking a hands-on approach of working with all key stakeholders involved in the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project delivery has suitable documentation / logs in place and benefits realisation is achieved.

Education

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience that demonstrates ability.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex projects, ideally in a banking environment.
  • Basic understanding of financial services’ regulations.

  • Proven experience of having worked and led cross-functional deliveries.
